Get started with Real-Time Intelligence in Microsoft Fabric
This lab introduces an end-to-end stock-market sample flow in Fabric Real-Time Intelligence. Participants connect streaming events to an Eventhouse, inspect recent values with KQL, visualize price movement and configure an alert around changing averages.
What the lab covers
- Routing a sample stock stream through Eventstream to an Eventhouse table.
- Querying recent events and per-symbol average bid prices with KQL.
- Saving a query to a dashboard and enabling live refresh.
- Configuring an Activator rule with an email action.
Learning outcome
Participants can describe how a real-time Fabric flow connects ingestion, storage, query, visualization and alerting. They also recognize that a sample stream changes over time and an alert condition may not occur during a short practice session.
Workshop connection
This overview supports Module 09 — Real-Time Intelligence & KQL. It provides an orientation to the end-to-end real-time experience before the other labs focus on specific ingestion, query, dashboard and Activator patterns.
Access note
A Microsoft Fabric tenant and paid or trial capacity are required. Sample values can change while the stream is running, and the alert may not trigger during the lab. Full instructions and working materials are provided during the workshop; this page does not publish them.
